Kyabva the foundation for Learners

Kyabva
— literally means “nursery” in Nepal Bhasa.
Kyabva, the foundation wing of Kathmandu Model School, nurtures young learners from playgroup to UKG with a child-friendly, Montessori-based approach. Designed to inspire curiosity and independence, it provides a warm, stimulating environment where every child learns at their own pace through hands-on exploration and guided discovery. With a focus on holistic development, Kyabva lays the strong foundation every learner needs to grow with confidence, creativity, and joy.
Small kindergartens need special care because young children are at a critical stage of emotional, social, and cognitive growth. A safe, calm, and nurturing environment helps them build trust, confidence, and a love for learning.Because their needs are different—more focused on play, routine, and emotional security—having a dedicated management team ensures that every detail, from classroom design to teaching methods, is tailored to early childhood development. This focused approach keeps children safe, supported, and ready to thrive as they take their first steps in education.
Kindergarten is more than just early schooling—it’s where children first learn to interact, explore, and think independently. At this stage, brain development is rapid, and experiences shape lifelong attitudes toward learning, empathy, and problem-solving.
A strong kindergarten program focuses not on academics alone, but on the whole child: social skills, emotional regulation, motor development, and curiosity. Through play-based, structured activities like those in Montessori, children naturally build concentration, coordination, and confidence—skills they carry into all future learning.
That’s why environments at Kyabva we provide the right balance of freedom and guidance, letting children grow at their own pace, in safety and joy.
